What goes on behind the backs Of those who write on blackboards…  Friday, March 20, Valley Of The Vapors Festival, Hot Springs,AR #SchwervonPoetry

Show poem.

Schwervon!

Let the spring rain fall on your brain
We don’t have time for the scenic route
We need the sleep more
We are on a mission
No time for cracker barrels
And good will stores
We are here to rock the people
What font is your nightmare?
No time for Mr. Hall’s boring
speech patterns and silly boots.
The reasons behind why we risk
Making fools of ourselves
What goes on behind the backs
Of those who write on blackboards
The art of vandalism
Of mixing paint with words.
The science behind friendship
And fearful speech patterns.
Pay no attention to
The rubber seals
On the side of the highway
The needles in my finger tips
We are here to rock the science
Of love
This may not be you best day
But it doesn’t have to be your worst

What does an old man think about?

image
We all must look at ourselves

In many differnt ways.

Subtract from the sand.

Sea foam bubble bath

What does an old man think about?

Rudiments of asthma

Deliverance of the penis

When beer started tasting good

Trading my hands for fins.

Thought blocking cocks

Styrofoam pieces in the grass

Footprints in chocolate

Re-evaluation of values

Life inside the straw

I could take some time here

I saw what I could

how could I

What does the butterfly Know about its caterpillar life

There’s something
I’ll always remember

Some birds stay all winter
They know their place

The ether kicks in
Much slower in this town

What does the butterfly
Know about its caterpillar life

Pinkies numb
A pin hole into
The black box

Dark spot correcting serum

Tractors pull
All earth’s people

Paying for poison
Unpicking the locks
Protecting our ears

Cages of wood and nylon
Side ways obelisk

An island of pride
A desert of feeling
We are all the middle child

We see too much of the sky
